So Where Is All This Going
The weather has frustrated the hell out of me, since the cold frost descended over the UK in December I’ve been able to do very little work in the studio. Paint takes too long to dry (well to be precise it tends not to dry at all) and after an hour or so I start to lose the feeling in my fingers. So for the last six weeks I’ve spent the time on my ass drinking beer, getting fat and procrastinating on Twitter and dare I say it, Facebook. There has been some movement but it’s been very slow (more to come on that a little later this month). It’s not all bad though, I have been reading quite a lot too… am I boring you yet?
It’s also been a little disappointing as two of the three planned projects for the beginning of the year have since fallen through. That kinda knocked the wind out of my sails for a bit – I’m very good at feeling sorry for myself. On a plus, I’ve been invited to take part at another exhibition in London at the end of February (again top secret until the show opening) but I’m excited again and it means that the next seven to ten days will prove (hopefully) very fruitful, especially as I still have a private commission to complete before the middle of February.
After all that excitement I came across these two paintings hidden behind all kinds of crap at the back of the studio – I can’t wait to get them finished off.
Have a great February!
